Welcome!!

Welcome Foodies and Cooks to the Nutrition Revolution:  FCNR!

Foodies love to eat and Cooks love to feed the foodies.  A continuous circle.  As the first blog entry, I'd like to introduce the site and explain each feature:

1) First and foremost, the main purpose of this blog are my entries.  Once a week, I will fuel the site with fitness, nutrition, culinary, and health-conscious ideas through articles, videos, etc.   I'll post a few links and give my opinion from my experiences.  I will diversify what I write about and try to hit as many topics as I can.  This will be a learning experience for me and you!
2) On the top row are featured links to explore what is going on in these 3 fields.  The purpose is to provide you guys with sources to do your own research.  My goal is to teach you to judge whether a site is making obnoxious, unrealistic claims or if it is something that can be credible and applicable.  Research is essential if you want to learn more about this industry.
3) In the left column, you will find 4 tabs:  Fitness Tip of the Day, Culinary Term of the Day, Weight Loss Tip of the Day, and Health Tip of the Day.  These four tips and terms change daily and you should check up on them once a day and learn! Whether it be the Culinary Term of the Day which you can apply to a recipe you try out or Weight Loss Tip of the Day where you can judge whether your habits are on the right track.
5) At the top right corner of the site, there is a tab where you can ask me questions! I'd really like to encourage you guys to ASK AWAY! I'd love to hear what you have to say!
4) In the right column, you can see a few tabs like Food Tips, where you will find culinary tips that tell you how to prepare featured ingredients.  Under it you'll find a Body Mass Index Calculator, this feature will calculate your BMI and tell you where you stand (on a scale from Underweight to Morbid Obesity) in terms of your height and weight.  Beneath that you'll see Seasonal Foods, here you can see which foods are in season for the present month and what you can make with them (This is my favorite feature)!! =)

Explore the blog and become familiar with it today as I prepare some new material with which I will post my next blog entry.  Welcome to FCNR!
